About the artist
Veronica studied graphic design in
Aberdeen, Scotland and graduated in1995.
She has worked for 10 years as a designer,
visualising everything from logos to company annual reports. She has lectured at local colleges on the design for print process.
Veronica also produces editorial and children’s illustration on a freelance basis, working in many distinctive illustrative styles for various clients, including the Scottish Cultural Press and Juno magazine.
When her own dog died, Veronica drew his portrait. Friends who saw the portrait asked for a portrait of their pet and she began taking commissions locally.
Having completed several pet portraits, September 2005 saw the launch of Veronica’s pet portrait website www.petportraits.webeden.co.uk and sister site www.illustration.webeden.co.uk. The sites have already successfully secured further commissions, both nationally and internationally. Veronica also paints people portraits and has, on occasion, been asked to combine pets and owners in one portrait!
She updates her online galleries at both sites on a weekly basis.
A member of the Association of Illustrators (AOI).
Living and working in the historical Deeside town of Stonehaven, Veronica is married to Andy and has two sons, Lee and Jackson.
This site is dedicated to Koschka the Siberian Husky.
